Candy Saunders, Personal Trainer

With 12 years of experience in the fitness industry, wearing the hat(s) of Customer Service Rep, Customer Service Manager, Group Fitness Manager, Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, General Manager and CrossFit Coach … Candy has a broad understanding of a variety of clientele.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Candy has been an athlete for much of her life. She ran track in high school, rowed division 1 crew while attending Northeastern University, and under the pseudonym “The Gun Show” she was a jammer for the Wicked Pissahs, skating 4 years with Boston Roller Derby. After retiring from skating she looked for a sport that could fill her competitive nature: enter Crossfit.
Candy has been crossfitting for 10 years and coaching for 8+ years (CF-L2). She’s coached for CrossFit Coolidge Corner, CrossFit Arsenal, Brick Boston and currently calls CrossFit Newton her home.
Candy loves coaching and the opportunity to see athletes grow and develop new skills, be stronger and become more confident each day. She’s a no-nonsense trainer who will push you every time to be the best athlete you can be. Her favorite movements are power cleans, deadlifts and double-unders.
In her free time you can find her drawing or watching The Golden Girls with her wife, Natalia and their famous puppy, Missy Elliott the Bulldog.
Johnny Campbell, Mixed Martial Arts Trainer

With 15+ years of group fitness instruction and personal training experience, Johnny is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter with 37 fights of professional and amateur experience. He’s a former Cage Titans Professional Bantamweight champion and multi time NAGA advanced champion. Johnny is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and specializes in Boxing, Muay Thai, and self defense techniques.
Andree Lerat, Yoga & Pilates Personal Trainer

Andree is a Registered Yoga Trainer E-RYT 200/500, YACEP and is certified in Power Mat Pilates. As a passionate yoga practitioner and teacher, she approaches her practice and the practice of her students with mindfulness and compassion. She keeps the mind focused on the body’s anatomy and the kinesiology of each movement. She motivates but does not push. For the past 30+ years she has studied across multiple yoga disciplines with some of its leading teachers. BKS lyengar, Ashtanga, and Vipassana meditation as well as Mat Pilates are the foundation of her teaching.
